It is the longest continuously running Santa Claus School in the world. The Santa School is located at the Santa House in downtown Midland, Michigan. The school is celebrating its 85th anniversary in 2022. Bill Geist, formerly of CBS News, described this school as β€œThe Harvard of Santa Schools.”

Bicentennial at the Ballpark

The Jackson Madison County Bicentennial Grand Finale Weekend ended with a bang at the Community Concert and Fireworks show at the Jackson Ballpark. The gates opened at 4:30 pm, and the stands were filled with enthusiastic members of the Jackson community ready to celebrate 200 years at the free concert featuring LOLO and the Commodores. The event was free and open to the public, and the many volunteers who helped with Bicentennial events over the past year were given priority VIP seating.
