On March 21, the Jackson Exchange Club held its 77th Man of the Year Ceremony at the Doubletree Hotel. The Man of the Year is a prestigious title given to one man each year based on their service, community impact, and influence in the City of Jackson and Madison County.

Attendees joined members of the Jackson Exchange club for dinner and an award ceremony as Jerry Gay was presented the honor of being named Jackson Exchange Club Man of the Year.

Jerry Gay was commended for his dedication and devotion to Jackson. Emcee Kelli McAlister presented a long list of Gay’s professional and volunteer work for Jackson to which he has devoted himself throughout the years.

Gay also is known for his influence in Downtown Jackson starting the Blues Fest, The Ned, and the Amp to name a few. His passion for the Jackson community shows immensely through his countless volunteer work and business development.

Jerry Gay was surprised to receive this honor as his family and friends joined him when he was presented the award.
