Supporters of heart health in West Tennessee went out in formal attire paired with their favorite denim on Saturday evening, May 22, as Friends of Heart and West Tennessee Healthcare hosted Black Tie & Blue Jeans at the Jackson Fairgrounds. Guests enjoyed signature cocktails and dinner before dancing the night away to live music by G3, the house band for the Grizzlies. There were both live and silent auctions and a whiskey pull as well. Sponsors of the event included Master Medical Equipment, Leaders Credit Union, Voya Financial, and The Blacksmith.

Proceeds from the evening will be used by Friends of Heart to help accomplish the goal of making Jackson a 4-minute city by placing 300 smart AEDs throughout the city so that anyone experiencing cardiac arrest would be within 4 minutes of one of these life-saving devices. All funds given to Friends of Heart stay in West Tennessee to promote and increase heart health. For more information, visit friendsofheart.org.
