The lobby of Robinson Toyota was pinked out on Thursday evening, September 23 as the participants of this year’s Real Men Wear Pink gathered to celebrate the kickoff. There are 16 Real Men in this year’s group, and all of them are excited to be joining the fight against breast cancer. The candidates who attended enjoyed food and beverages provided by Party Mart, swapped strategies and ideas for fundraising, and even walked the red carpet in an impromptu fashion show. Breast cancer survivors Stephanie Hunt and Shannon Arnold were honored guests at the kickoff as well.
This is the 5th year for Real Men Wear Pink in West Tennessee, which raises money for breast cancer research, prevention, and patient support. Joseph Robinson has participated every year so far and has raised roughly $25,000 to support its mission to save lives affected by breast cancer. He says it has been a team effort each year and is looking forward to working hard again this year. There will not be an in-person runway show this year, but West Tennessee event chair Heath Ladd reminded everyone that “even though the world may have stopped for Covid, breast cancer has not taken a break and this is a crucial year to make sure we are raising as much as we can.” For more information on this year’s fundraiser or to donate to the campaign, visit realmenwearpinkacs.org/westtennessee.
